2. URA Private property transactions - this website shows all the transactions by a particular condo. You can roughly gauge the price to buy or sell from the prices listed here. 

3. Edge Prop - from this website, you can check out the price trends of a particular condo, whether it is going up or down. You can also see the profitable/unprofitable transactions which would be important should you buy the condo for investment. You can also see the rental transactions in the condo and rent in nearby properties which might be your competitors. 

4. SquareFoot - you can also find the price trends and transaction details of a condo here, as well as follow the up to date news. You can also find the latest Government Land Sales to private developers here to anticipate the new condo launches. 

5. Youtube - dont be surprised to see this, as many property agents have used Youtube as a means to reach out to potential customers, and you can see the houses they sell without leaving your home.

Should I buy a new launch or resale condo?

 Recently, The Business Times published this chart on 16 March 2020 comparing the affordability of different types of housing over the years.  Source: https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/real-estate/in-a-covid-year-new-condos-price-income-ratio-widens  Affordability is calculated based on the property median prices for each of the property types, divided by median annual household income. On the left is the implied number of years one household have to save to buy a 1000 sq property. From this chart you can see that the prices of new sales/launches of non-landed private have been going up steadily, it is the steepest of all.  On the other hand the prices of resale non-private have been going up my a small margin of 0.1 from 2019 to 2020. Is it good to invest in a HDB?
